Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential Qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field (awarded within the last 3 years*)
- High proficiency in molecular dynamics simulations (all-atom and coarse-grained)
- Experience using CHARMM-GUI and GROMACS
- Knowledge of biophysical characterization and microscopy techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
* Exceptions to the 3-year rule may be made for parental/military/sick leave.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with tools such as VMD, PyTopol
- Proficiency in analyzing lipid bilayer dynamics (diffusion, permeability, area per lipid, RDFs, etc.)
- Experience working at synchrotron large-scale facilities
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform molecular dynamics simulations of lipid systems
- Study interactions of lipid membranes with nanoparticles and proteins
- Develop computational models for lipid nanoparticles and extracellular vesicle systems
- Collaborate with team members involved in experimental and computational projects
- Potential teaching and supervision duties at undergraduate/master’s/PhD level
