Eligibility/Qualification:
- Education: PhD degree in Chemistry/Chemometrics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry/Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Research Experience: Familiarity with materials characterization, chemometrics, and sustainable system modeling.
- Skills: Proficiency in polymer analysis techniques (e.g., FTIR, Raman spectroscopy), strong computational skills (e.g., Python for data analysis), and experience in addressing practical issues in the plastic value chain.
- Languages: Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the PlastiCycle 4.0 project aiming at revolutionizing conventional plastic recycling. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting material characterization focusing on plastic additives and contaminants.
- Developing flow models utilizing characterization data to enhance the plastic value chain.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, engaging in independent research, and potentially managing project components.
