Eligibility/Qualification

  • A PhD degree in Biology
  • Background in population genetics, molecular anthropology, or bioinformatics
  • Experience in genome-wide polymorphism analysis for demographic inference, selection, or genome-wide association studies (machine learning experience is a plus)
  • Interest in human prehistory, linguistics, and genetic diversity of humans and plants
  • Proficiency in English

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Participate in the expansion of the NCCR Evolving Language project.
  • Conduct research on gene-language coevolution and study language family dispersal alongside farming practices and crop species.
  • Collaborate with leading scientists from various disciplines within the NCCR initiative.
