Eligibility/Qualification
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., biology, computer science) defended no more than 12 years before the start of the contract.
- Experience in:
- RNA and protein structural bioinformatics, particularly molecular modeling
- Computational simulations of RNA-protein interactions
- Programming in C/C++ and/or Python
- Developing scoring potentials for protein-nucleic acid interactions
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Researcher will engage in interdisciplinary studies to analyze RNA-protein complex structures. Responsibilities include:
- Simulating RNA folding and RNA-protein interactions in 3D using coarse-grained models.
- Developing statistical potentials for studying protein-nucleic acid interactions.
- Conducting research that integrates computational and experimental methodologies, including chemical probing, crystallography, cryo-EM, circular dichroism, and SAXS.
- Contributing to the laboratory’s efforts in securing external funding through fellowships or research grants.
