Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Physics, Soft Matter, Biophysics, or Applied Mathematics
  • Strong programming skills; numerical work experience is essential
  • Mastery of symbolic computation tools is a plus
  • Proficiency in English with good communication skills
  • No background in biology is required

Job Description:

The selected candidate will advance the modeling of microphase separation in living cells. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing numerical simulations based on mesoscopic cell-based models
  • Exploring self-assembled morphologies and phase diagrams, along with dynamic properties at the cellular and domain levels
  • Potentially complementing numerical work with analytical approaches and toy models

Work Environment:

The research will take place within the “Liquid and Interfaces” and “Biophysics” teams at the Institut Lumière Matière, known for its emphasis on soft and active matter. The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary consortium funded by the ANR project OCSYC.
