Eligibility / Qualification
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Sciences.
- Strong research background relevant to desalination, renewable energy, thermal systems, CFD, or related areas.
- Experience with CFD and numerical modeling tools.
- Demonstrated ability to design and conduct experimental investigations.
- Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
- Good record of peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
- Age below 36 years.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following experience will be particularly encouraged to apply:
- Membrane distillation and desalination technologies.
- Renewable energy and sustainable energy systems.
- Green hydrogen production and integrated water–energy systems.
- Proficiency in ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL Multiphysics, MATLAB, Python, or similar software.

Job Description
The selected Postdoctoral Researcher will contribute to interdisciplinary research focused on addressing major challenges in water security, renewable energy, and sustainable development.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Developing innovative desalination and water-treatment technologies.
- Conducting research on membrane distillation and hybrid desalination systems.
- Developing renewable-energy-powered desalination systems.
- Investigating integrated desalination and green hydrogen production technologies.
- Performing CFD, multiphysics, and numerical simulations.
- Designing and constructing experimental systems and prototypes.
- Conducting experiments, testing systems, and validating numerical models.
- Performing thermodynamic and energy-efficiency analyses.
- Optimizing system performance and conducting uncertainty/data analysis.
- Publishing research findings in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborating with researchers from different disciplines on water–energy sustainability projects.
