Postdoctoral Scholar at Oregon: Join the dynamic research team at Oregon Health & Science University’s Pape Family Pediatric Research Institute in Portland, OR, led by Dr. Bret Pearson. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to investigate the molecular connections between stem cell biology, neural injury, and neural cancer biology using model systems such as freshwater planarians and zebrafish.

Eligibility/Qualification:

Job Description: The successful candidate will conduct research under the mentorship of Dr. Bret Pearson, utilizing genomic and imaging techniques to explore adult stem cell biology in normal, regenerative, and tumorigenic contexts. Responsibilities include experimental design, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation, and presentation of findings. The position offers opportunities for career development through mentoring, networking, and additional training in public speaking, project management, grant writing, and manuscript review.
