Postdoctoral scholarship in cognitive neuroscience: The Department of Integrative Medical Biology (IMB) at Umeå University is offering a postdoctoral scholarship in cognitive neuroscience of aging, with a specific focus on the structural and functional connectome. Join the research group led by Alireza Salami at the Wallenberg Center for Molecular Medicine (WCMM) and contribute to investigating the neural and molecular basis of cognitive decline in aging using longitudinal data. This project aims to explore changes in structural-functional correspondence in the brain, examine the impact of dopaminergic alterations, and investigate associations with cognitive decline. If you have a strong background in MRI techniques for studying brain connectome, we invite you to apply and become part of our active and creative research environment.
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Cognitive Neuroscience of Aging – Structural and Functional Connectome
Location: Umeå University, Sweden
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field
- Priority given to candidates who graduated within three years before the application deadline or will graduate not later than September 1st, 2023
- Experience in neuroimaging, particularly functional and structural connectivity
- Documentation of experience through published paper(s) preferred
- Proficient in statistics and communication in written and spoken scientific English
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a research group
