About- The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is inviting applications for a project appointment on a contractual basis. The appointment will be renewable yearly or until the duration of the project, whichever is earlier. Candidates of Indian nationality are invited to appear for a walk-in test/interview for this project appointment under the “Pre-compliance and Clinical Validation of Implantable and Diagnostic Devices” project.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • First Class Master’s Degree or PhD in:
    • Bioinformatics
    • Computational Biology
    • Genomics
    • Molecular Biology
    • Or a related quantitative discipline

Technical Skills Required

Applicants should demonstrate expertise in:

  • Big data analysis and computational biology methods
  • Programming using Python and/or R
  • Multi-omics data analysis including:
    • Genomics (WGS, WES, variant calling, CNV analysis)
    • Transcriptomics (RNA-Seq differential expression analysis)
    • Single-cell sequencing technologies (scRNA-Seq, scATAC-Seq)
    • Spatial transcriptomics and imaging analysis
  • Statistical modeling and machine learning approaches

Preferred Qualifications

  • Research experience in:
    • Cancer biology
    • Tumor microenvironment studies
    • Oncology research
  • Advanced experience in:
    • Transcriptomics
    • Single-cell RNA sequencing analysis
    • Large-scale biological data processing
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Publication Requirements

  • Proven record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications
  • First-author or co-first-author publications demonstrating independent research contributions

Designation: Project Research Scientist-I

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing computational pipelines for integrative analysis of multi-omics datasets.
  • Analyzing genomics, transcriptomics, single-cell RNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics data from public databases, patient samples, and organoid models.
  • Investigating tumor heterogeneity and immune microenvironment dynamics.
  • Studying CAR-T cell infiltration patterns using advanced single-cell and spatial omics approaches.
  • Applying machine learning and statistical methods to large-scale biological datasets.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary research teams working on cancer immunotherapy and translational research.
