Eligibility/Qualification–
Post Name: Research Associate (RA)
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/ Biotechnology or relevant biological Sciences with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree or integrated (B. Tech. + M. Tech. 5 years) in relevant subject. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/MHRD-GATE/ICAR-NET qualification or equivalent
OR
Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines
Desirable Qualification: Construction of Genome editing vectors, Genome Editing and Genetic transformation of plants through
Agrobacterium mediated transformation, molecular and physiological analysis of genome edited/genetically engineered plants

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Plant Pathology/Biotechnology/ Microbiology with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree. Those
with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET/GATE qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines
OR
Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines
Desirable Qualification: Experience in Molecular microbiology, NGS based bioinformatic and metagenomic tools; proficiency in computer skills
Age limit: Maximum 35 and 40 years for men for SRF and Research Associate position, respectively. For women/SC/ST/OBC, an age relaxation of 5 years will be given as per Govt. of India/ICAR rules.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited to attend Online Interview for Unreserved Temporary Posts of one RA, and SRF under NAHEP-CAAST project at Division of Plant Physiology, IARI, New Delhi.
Post Name: Research Associate (RA)
Fellowship/ month salary: Rs 49000+24% HRA per month for Ph.D. Degree holders; Rs 47000+24% HRA per month for M.Sc.
Degree holders with a minimum of two years of experience
Duration: up to 31st March 2021.
Post Name: SRF
Fellowship/ month salary: Rs 31000+24% HRA per month
Duration: up to 31st March 2021.
The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis for an initial period of six months or project duration whichever is earlier. The tenure may be extended based on the satisfactory performance of the incumbent. There is no provision of reengagement after termination of scheme. Selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment at this institute as the fellowship is co-terminus with respective scheme.
