Job Description:
- Investigate structure-activity correlation of Ni catalysts on different metal oxide supports during catalytic cycling.
- Conduct in-situ X-ray scattering experiments, analyze pair distribution function (PDF) to track nanoparticle size and structure.
- Collaborate with Prof. Palkovits, RWTH Aachen, using techniques like infrared and mass spectroscopy.
- Synthesize and characterize heterogeneous catalysts, participate in beamtimes, and publish results in scientific journals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Synthesize Ni catalysts, characterize using TGA, IR, TEM, MS, BET.
- Participate in beamtimes at synchrotron radiation facilities.
- Analyze XRD and PDF data for structure refinement and modeling.
- Adapt flow cell setup for in-situ experiments.
- Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
