Eligibility/Qualification:
- Above-average master’s degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field
- Fulfillment of requirements for admission to a doctoral program
- Experience in (acoustic) signal processing
- Knowledge in acoustic measurement techniques, psychoacoustics, spatial audio, virtual acoustics, virtual reality
- Programming skills in Matlab, preferably also in Python and C++
- Excellent communication skills in English; basic communication skills in German
- Interest in fundamental research in acoustic simulation, auralization, and perceptual evaluation
- Willingness to contribute to teaching activities
- Flexibility and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
Job Description: The successful candidate will be involved in the research and development of simulation technologies, focusing on audiovisual virtual reality with an emphasis on acoustic reality. Duties include planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating experiments in various realistic scenarios. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to courses in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs, participate in research project applications, and be actively engaged in the Institute for Hearing Technology and Acoustics.
