Study Area: The research project is dedicated to heterogeneous catalysis and is conducted by multi-disciplinary teams at TU Berlin.

Scholarship Description: The project involves conducting kinetic studies using high-pressure and high-temperature single autoclave units, preparing and evaluating various solid catalysts for chemical recycling of plastic waste, and detailed characterization of fresh and used catalysts. The goal is to make a significant contribution to a sustainable, energy- and atom-efficient circular economy.

Eligibility:

  • Successfully completed university degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.
  • Mandatory qualifications:
    • Experience in catalytic testing (preferably in a parallel testing unit) or experience in kinetic modeling.
    • Good knowledge of German and/or English.
  • Desirable qualifications:
    • Experience in preparation and characterizing inorganic materials (solid catalysts).
    • Detailed knowledge in polymer/product analysis, such as GCMS-FID, simulated distillation, 2DGG, GPC, and DSC.
