Department of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen with a subsequent relocation to the Max Planck Center for Physics and Medicine in Erlangen, Germany, in mid-2026.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., cell biology, molecular biology).
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, adult and embryonic stem cells, iPSCs, and organoids.
  • Proficiency in molecular biology methods and quantitative imaging.
  • Demonstrated wet-lab technical expertise.
  • Strong interest in cell biology, engineering, and omics.
  • English language skills.

Job Description

  • Conduct independent research under supervision.
  • Complete PhD courses or equivalent education.
  • Engage in active research environments and possibly collaborate with other research teams.
  • Gain teaching experience related to the PhD project.
  • Write a PhD thesis based on research findings.
