For Project Scientist I:
- Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Knowledge/experience of operating and maintaining advanced scientific instruments such as Electron Microscopy, GC-MS, XPS, Mass Spectroscopy, AFM, RAMAN, FTIR.
- Preference to candidates with practical experience during their Ph.D. research.
For Laboratory Assistant / Technician:
- B.Sc. degree or 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology.
- Familiarity with advanced analytical instruments such as Electron Microscopy, GC-MS, XPS, Mass Spectroscopy, AFM, RAMAN, FTIR.
Age Relaxation:
- 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Job/ Position Description-
Sophisticated Analytical Instrumentation Facility (SAIF), Panjab University, Chandigarh invites applications for purely temporary positions of Project Scientist-I and Laboratory Assistant/Technician for a period of one year (extendable) based on performance. Laboratory Assistant / Technician:
- Assist in the operation, calibration, and maintenance of sophisticated analytical equipment.
- Support faculty, researchers, and students in conducting experiments and generating analytical data.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, documentation, and technical records.
