Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed university degree (Master’s level) in Psychology, Neuroscience, Engineering, Physics, Biology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in English for scientific presentations and publications.
- Ideally, programming skills and experience in conducting statistical analyses.
- Motivation to work with Parkinson’s patients.
- Previous experience with electrophysiological data or behavioral research is beneficial.
Job Description:
- Plan and conduct behavioral experiments with neurological patients, focusing on Parkinson’s disease and impulse control disorders.
- Accompany intraoperative electrophysiological measurements for research purposes.
- Conduct computer-based analysis of local field potentials (LFP) and imaging data.
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including doctors, psychologists, and linguists.
- Participate in experimental studies conducted before, during, and after electrode implantation.
- Evaluate electrophysiological data in relation to the anatomy/electrode position.
- Publish at least two scientific papers as the first author during the doctoral program.
- Work in a structured research environment with access to established methods, protocols, and preliminary data.
