Eligibility/Qualification:
- A university degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science).
- Strong background in Galerkin methods, numerical analysis, and earth system modeling.
- Proven programming skills (preferably in Fortran, C/C++) and experience in scientific computing.
- Independent and creative research attitude with good communication skills in English.
Job Description:
As a Research Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting academic services within the M2 project.
- Analyzing and mathematizing parameter patchiness in ocean models.
- Developing multi-scale finite element methods for the upscaling and regularisation of parameterisations.
- Collaborating with project participants to explore the interactions between resolved and unresolved scales in discrete modeling approaches.
- Engaging in independent research and further academic qualifications within the project’s framework.
