Research/Job Area- Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Location- Hyderabad

Eligibility/Qualification-

Experience –Ph.D. (at least provisional degree certificate awarded)/ preferably with some postdoc Experience

Essential Qualifications:

Ph.D. with B.Tech./M.Tech equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
At least 3 publications in Scopus-indexed journals
Should have experience in using both Ansys Fluent and OpenFOAM CFD solvers as reflected in published journal papers
Should have experience in developing customized CFD solvers using OpenFOAM libraries
The candidate should have good academic records throughout and good writing/communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates having experience in few of the following CFD modelling capabilities will be preferred:
Lagrangian particle tracking
Turbulent heat and mass transfer in thermal management applications
VOF model or one of its variants o Adsorption/desorption in porous medium

Job/Position Description–

Applications Invited for Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship

Position – Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in modelling of combustion & multiphase flow (under CLEANZ-CoE)

Type of Position – The position is for one year, with an extension subject to performance through a review process.

Fellowship – Consolidated pay Rs. 75,400 to Rs 79,300 per month (including HRA) based on post-doc experience

Job Description

High fidelity CFD modelling of spray and combustion
Developing OpenFOAM CFD solver with coupled Level Set VOF-LPT modelling
Incorporating coal combustion kinetics in CFD solvers to simulate Coal Water Slurry combustion
Report preparation, article writing and lab management.

Performance Matrices: IP generated, papers published, review performance

Expected Outcomes: Development of CFD Solver, IP, papers
