About- National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) is an autonomous institute under Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, and Government of India. NIAB is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenic technology, reproductive technology, diseases, nutritional enrichment, and bioinformatics. The Institute aims at translational research leading to genetic enhancement of Indian Livestock species and basic research towards development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Ph.D. in Animal Sciences/Veterinary sciences/Life sciences
Desirable Experience:
Candidate having experience in transcriptional/epigenetic regulation of metabolite or protein regulation, selection of aptamers, generation of monoclonal antibodies will be preferred.

Fellowship amount:
Rs 47,000 + 24 % HRA as per the DST guidelines.

Candidates must fill out an online application form at www.niab.res.in. Candidates are advised to complete the online application form before the last date to avoid last-minute technical issues. Original documents supporting date of birth, educational qualifications, and experience certificates must be submitted at the time of joining.
