- Comfortable performing experiments in controlled/sterile conditions.
- Experience with DNA/RNA, gel electrophoresis, protein expression, and particle sizing techniques is advantageous.

Job Description
The successful candidate will join a collaborative team led by Dr. Amanda Pearce. Responsibilities include:
- Screening polymer vesicle formulations to determine optimal chemistries for high encapsulation and stability of CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing constructs.
- Employing a variety of 2D and 3D cell culture assays to assess the selective localization of formulations within diseased brain cells.
- Generating a CRISPR/Cas9 system targeting enhanced green fluorescence protein (GFP).
- Analyzing chemical and biological data to guide further targeted vesicle development.
- Evaluating the ability of hit vesicle formulations to cross the blood-brain barrier using a transwell model with iPSC-derived neurovascular cells.
