Job Description:
The primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting laboratory and field studies to assess the electrochemical and corrosion behavior of additively manufactured alloys.
- Analyzing samples from collaborators and contributing to the assessment of models determining localized corrosion.
- Managing laboratory facilities and performing measurements.
- Updating equipment and developing operational protocols, including safety procedures.
- Supporting undergraduate and graduate research, providing guidance to students.
- Assisting in drafting proposals, reports, and research papers.
Preferred Experience:
- Operating electrochemical instrumentation (DC and AC techniques).
- Image analysis of optical and scanning electron micrographs.
- Familiarity with FEM modeling.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with students and collaborators.
