The successful candidate will conduct structure-activity and structure-property relationship studies to develop anti-infective agents with pre-clinical or clinical potential. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and be highly motivated with excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and synthesize novel anti-infective agents
- Interpret and publish results and grants
- Write research papers and present at meetings
- Contribute to research proposals
- Manage research data and software
- Assist in mentoring students.
