About- The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) is an autonomous institution of Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, for a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of University of Savitribai Phule Pune Campus, Pune. NCCS invites applications for following posts on various extramural projects purely on temporary basis.

| Essential Qualification Experience: & | Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. |
| Desirable Experience: | Experience in NGS technologies for targeted amplicon sequencing. Experience in microbial or viral genome sequencing is preferred. Efficiency in using Linux operating system and programming with python/R. Strong communication and writing skills. |
| Project Tenure: | Up to 28.12.2023. |
| Total Monthly Emoluments: | Rs. 56,000/- + HRA |
| Age limit: | Not more than 35 years as on last date of application. |

| Desirable Experience: | Experience in NGS technologies for targeted amplicon sequencing, whole metagenome and microbial genome sequencing, Experience in microbiome data analysis, Isolation, and characterization of anaerobic/aerobic bacteria. Efficiency in using Linux operating system and programming with Python/R. Strong communication and writing skills proven by publications in reputed journals. |
