Research Associate/Postdoc Position: The University of Bayreuth is a research-oriented university with internationally competitive, interdisciplinary focus areas in research and teaching. We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate/Postdoc in the field of agroecology, starting on 01/08/2023 (or by agreement). The position offers a three-year initial contract, with the possibility of extension for another three years.
Designation: Research Associate/Postdoc (Akad. Rat/ Rtin, salary grade: A13)

Eligibility/Qualification:
- A doctoral degree in ecology, biogeochemistry, agricultural, earth, environmental sciences, or a comparable natural science discipline.
- Outstanding scientific achievements demonstrated by international peer-reviewed publications and research project contributions.
- Teaching experience, including student supervision.
- Sound theoretical and practical expertise in stable isotope applications.
- Experience in field and laboratory work.
- Strong knowledge of statistics.
- Experience or interest in a complementary area such as plant physiology, plant ecology, microbiology, or fungal ecology.
Job Description:
- Work independently and efficiently in a team.
- Publish high-quality research.
- Build networks at national and international levels.
- Co-supervise BS, MSc, and doctoral students.
- Actively participate in proposal writing and funding acquisition.
- Conduct 5 course hours (85¢/MS) independently in German and English during the semester in the field of agroecology or isotope biogeochemistry.
