Research Area:
The focus of this position will be on translational neuroimmunology, specifically researching the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS), inflammatory neuropathies, and rare neuroinfectious diseases with autoimmune features.
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Educational Background: MSc-degree or equivalent and completed PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Neurosciences, or a related life science discipline.
- Skills:
- Strong interest in neuroimmunology research.
- Experience in organizing laboratory workflows and coordinating operations.
- Proficient in German for independent communication (spoken and written); very good English (spoken and written).
- Broad expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, and/or immunology.
- Structured and team-oriented working style with strong communication skills.
Job Description:
- Conduct scientific services in research and teaching.
- Manage laboratory operations, including organizing workflows.
- Supervise and mentor students in high-quality theses and dissertations.
- Manage projects in translational neuroimmunology research.
- Develop and implement independent project ideas.
- Prepare and contribute to competitive research proposals.
