Summary
The University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, invites applications for a Research Fellow in Immunology and Immunotherapy (Grade 7) within the Fungal Immunology Group, led by Professor Rebecca Drummond. The successful candidate will join an international research consortium funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation to investigate organ-specific immune responses against fungal pathogens, with a particular focus on immune cells and tissue-resident immune subsets during fungal infections of the central nervous system (CNS).
The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced in vivo fungal infection models, transgenic tools, and immunological techniques while collaborating with research teams in Denmark and Uganda. The successful candidate will also have opportunities for interdisciplinary training in immunology, neuroscience, and microbiology.
