Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Expertise in:
- Complex quantum processes
- Quantum error corrections
- Tensor networks
- Optimisation and machine learning
- Software infrastructure development
- Experience in quantum engineering, quantum computing, and/or quantum information sciences is an asset.
- A deep understanding of quantum algorithms and/or experience with quantum hardware is beneficial.
- Proven collaborative skills and ability to mentor students.
Job Description
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Conducting research on complex quantum processes using process tensor formalism.
- Simulating quantum processes on quantum computers.
- Co-supervising students and advising on quantum programming.
- Building and sustaining quantum computing capabilities at Monash University.
- Engaging in collaborative and independent research efforts to contribute to the university’s research goals.
