Postdoc in Spain

Research Positions in MicroRNAs: The Ministry of Science and Innovation, in collaboration with CSIC (110 UAM) and the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, is offering two research positions in the field of microRNAs in immunity and cancer. These positions include one at the predoctoral level and another at the postdoctoral level. The research projects will focus on tumor immunology and autoimmune diseases. Initial contracts are for two years, extendable to three, and will follow institutional guidelines and salary tables for each level.

Designation:

  • Predoctoral Research Position
  • Postdoctoral Research Position

Research Area: MicroRNAs, Autoimmunity, Cancer, Immunology

Location: Instituto de Investigaciones Biomedicas Sols-Morreale, Campus de Medicina, Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • For Predoctoral Position: A solid background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or immunology, previous research experience with murine models, and the ability to work with such models. A good academic record.
  • For Postdoctoral Position: A Ph.D. in a relevant field, expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or immunology. Experience in microRNA research, murine models, and genome engineering will be valued.

Job Description:

Research Positions in MicroRNAs, Autoimmunity, and Cancer

The research projects aim to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms in autoimmunity and cancer, focusing on how microRNAs and their target genes regulate immune tolerance, autoimmune diseases, and antitumor immunity. Additionally, innovative genome engineering strategies for therapeutic purposes are being developed. The scientific interests of the finalists will be considered to assign the projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research in the field of microRNAs, immunity, and cancer.
  • Collaborating with the research team.
  • Developing innovative genome engineering strategies.
  • Contributing to the understanding of immunological mechanisms in autoimmunity and cancer.

How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their applications via email to aqonzalez@iib.uam.es. The application must include the following documents:

  • Cover letter detailing scientific interests and motivation.
  • Curriculum Vitae, including the average grade of the academic record (for predoctoral applicants).
  • A copy of the academic record (for predoctoral applicants).
