Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the prestigious Raja Jwala Prasad Post-Doctoral Fellowship (RJP-PDF) under the Institution of Eminence (IoE) Scheme at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. This temporary research position is hosted by the Centre of Experimental Medicine and Surgery and the Department of Neurology at the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU).

Job Description & Benefits
The appointed Postdoctoral Fellow will work on cutting-edge research projects involving advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques. The fellow will receive:
- A monthly consolidated fellowship of Rs. 60,000/- plus Rs. 10,000/- House Rent Allowance (HRA).
- Annual contingency grant of Rs. 50,000/-.
- Access to comprehensive institutional resources including BHU health services, central library, and high-end research instrumentation as per university rules.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- PhD Degree: Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Zoology, Microbiology, Cellular & Molecular Biology, or Life Sciences from an Indian university/institute with a NIRF ranking of up to 20, or a Ph.D. from a recognized institution abroad.
- Technical Skills: Proven research experience in cellular & molecular biology techniques, microbiology, and biochemistry.
- Publications: At least 2 original research publications in Q1/Q2 indexed or SCOPUS/Web of Science listed journals supporting their area of specialization.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in specialized molecular biology methods such as microscopy, molecular cloning, PCR, and western blotting.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 45 years.
- Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years of relaxation for SC, ST, Female, and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates. Reservations and preference for SC/ST candidates apply as per Government of India guidelines.
