Eligibility/Qualifications
- Education: PhD in bioorganic chemistry, molecular biotechnology, biochemical engineering, or related area.
- Experience:
- Essential: Design and characterization of redox hydrogels, interface with living systems, microscopy, and spectroscopy techniques.
- Bonus: Pure microbial culture experience and knowledge of chemical modifications (e.g., click chemistry).
- Skills: Excellent communication, team-working skills, high self-motivation, and proficiency in English.
Job Description
The core responsibilities of the scientist include:
- Development of redox hydrogel-cyanobacteria photobioanode.
- Application of holistic microscopy-based analytics for characterizing the bio-hydrogel interface and electron transfer kinetics.
- Engineering the bio-hydrogel interface to improve electron transfer kinetics.
- Developing a prototype system for photobioammonium production.
- Collaborating closely with project partners and driving the project’s progress.
- Publishing findings in high-reputation journals and presenting at leading scientific conferences.
- Submitting a half-page research concept and methodology as part of the application.
