Eligibility/Qualification–
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UTs Govt. Servants upto 5 years’ as per instructions/orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) | A. Educational- (I) Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Toxicology or Biochemistry or Forensic Science from a recognized University or Institute and (II) Bachelor’s Degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. NOTE- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. B. Experience- Three years Analytical/Research work in Forensic Science. |
| Desirable Qualification (s) | Doctorate Degree in concerned subject from a recognized University or Institute. |

| Pay Scale | Pay Level-10 (56100-177500) of pay matrix under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.56100/- plus DA as applicable per month |
