Structural Biology of Dynamic Systems: The Integrative Structural Biology of Dynamic Systems group headed by Dr. Max Bonomi at the CNRS UMR3528 and the Department of Structural Biology and Chemistry, Institut Pasteur (Paris, France) is seeking two postdoctoral researchers for a period of 1 year, renewable for up to a total of 3 years. The positions are funded by the ERC Consolidator Grant 2022 “bAIes”. The project aims to develop a novel modelling approach to integrate state-of-the-art experimental structural biology techniques with molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the study of complex biological systems.
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Integrative Structural Biology of Dynamic Systems
Location: CNRS UMR3528 and the Department of Structural Biology and Chemistry, Institut Pasteur (Paris, France)
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in computational biology, chemistry or physics
- Solid background in statistical mechanics
- Experience with MD simulations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Programming skills in C++ (a plus)
- Experience with training and applying ML/DL methods (a plus)
- Applicants from underrepresented backgrounds in the field are strongly encouraged to apply.
Job Description: The successful candidates will work on the development and application of integrative computational and experimental approaches to characterize structure and dynamics of complex biological systems. The project will focus on the integration of experimental structural biology techniques with molecular dynamics simulations and Artificial Intelligence. The two postdocs will be part of a collaborative team that will work in close contacts with experimental groups at Institut Pasteur.
How to Apply: Interested candidates should apply on the CNRS website here. A CV and a letter of motivation with contact information for two references will be asked. For inquiries, please contact Dr. Max Bonomi (mbonomi@pasteur.fr).
