Eligibility

  • For Master’s Students: International students who have completed their first degree abroad can apply prior to starting a Master’s degree program in Germany.
  • For PhD Students: International PhD students who have completed their graduate degree abroad may apply for a PhD program in Germany.
  • Priority: For both levels, priority is given to applicants from DAC countries who have not yet taken up residence in Germany at the time of their application.

Scholarship Description

The “Tailwind for Talents” initiative by the Heinrich Böll Foundation provides financial support, an event program, and access to an alumni network for talented international students. The program is actively supported and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA) to help students successfully navigate their academic journey in Germany.
