Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Agricultural College, Mahanandi, invites applications from eligible candidates for 1 Teaching Associate position in the Department of Agricultural Economics. Eligibility/Qualification

Candidates should meet the prescribed educational and experience requirements:

• Master’s Degree in the relevant subject.
• Bachelor’s Degree of 4/5 years with First Division or equivalent overall grade point average, as applicable.
• Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant teaching/research experience, demonstrated through Fellowship, Associateship, Training, or other relevant engagements.
• Candidates should have at least one published research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) / NAAS-rated journal with a rating of 4.0 or above.
• Candidates with a Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences, along with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree and 2-year Master’s degree, should possess NET qualification.
• Candidates must satisfy the applicable qualification requirements prescribed by the University/Government from time to time.

Remuneration

• ₹67,000 per month for PhD degree holders.
• Applicable HRA will be provided according to the prevailing State Government rates applicable to the respective location.
• The HRA provisions are subject to change as per Government orders.

Job Description

The selected candidate will work as a Teaching Associate in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Agricultural College, Mahanandi.

The engagement is:

• Purely temporary and contractual.
• For a period not exceeding 11 months, or until the regular staff member joins, whichever is earlier.
• The position does not confer any right to regular appointment in the University or any Government organization.
• There is no entitlement to automatic continuation or extension of the contractual service.

Candidates must:

1. Register their names before 11:00 AM on the interview date.
2. Bring a duly filled application form.
3. Bring original certificates for verification.
4. Bring one set of photocopies of all certificates.
5. Bring copies/details of research publications and other relevant documents.
6. Report to the Office of the Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Mahanandi.

Candidates should also bring the completed application containing details such as name, social category, educational qualifications, college/university, postal address, contact details, date of birth, research publications, books/book chapters, training attended, and other relevant information.

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

Important Terms & Conditions

• The appointment will automatically end after 11 months or when regular staff is appointed, whichever is earlier.
• The selected candidate cannot claim regular employment or continuation of contractual service.
• Concealment of facts or canvassing in any form may result in disqualification or termination.
• The contractual engagement may be terminated at any time without prior notice or assigning a reason.
• A candidate wishing to leave the position must provide one month’s notice; otherwise, one month’s salary may be payable before leaving.
• Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination at their own expense as per applicable rules.
• The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.
• The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview due to unavoidable circumstances.
