About- Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat, has announced walk-in interviews for Temporary Assistant Professor (TAP) and Temporary Teaching Assistant (TTA) positions in the Department of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) under the Faculty of Computer Science & IT. A total of 3 Temporary Assistant Professor positions are available, along with Temporary Teaching Assistant positions.

Eligibility/Qualification–
For Temporary Assistant Professor (TAP):
Candidates should possess a relevant postgraduate qualification such as:
- MCA
- M.Sc. (IT)
- M.Sc. (ICT)
- M.Sc. (CA)
- M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Engineering/Information Technology
- AI or other equivalent postgraduate degree in Computer Science & Information Technology.
Additional qualification: NET/SET/Ph.D., as applicable under the relevant regulations.
For Temporary Teaching Assistant (TTA):
Candidates should possess:
- MCA
- M.Sc. (IT)
- M.Sc. (ICT)
- M.Sc. (CA)
- M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Engineering/Information Technology
- AI or another equivalent postgraduate qualification in Computer Science & Information Technology.
Candidates from allied or relevant specializations may also be considered if suitable candidates for a particular specialization are unavailable, subject to university scrutiny.
Job/Position Description-
Designation
- Temporary Assistant Professor (TAP)

Selected candidates will be engaged on a temporary contractual basis. The role may involve:
- Teaching and academic activities.
- Research and related academic work.
- Co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Student admissions, counselling and examination-related duties.
- Placement-related activities.
- Supporting startup and innovation activities.
- Administrative and departmental responsibilities.
- Other academic or university activities assigned by the department/university.
The contract period is 11 months or until a regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier.
Remuneration
- Temporary Assistant Professor: ₹48,000 per month
- Temporary Teaching Assistant: ₹40,000 per month
