Postdoctoral Position in USA

UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow: The UCD College of Health and Agricultural Sciences, in collaboration with the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science, invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow position. This position is part of the AMBROSIA project, focusing on the Microbiota-Inflammation-Brain axis in heart failure. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Marco Garcia-Vaquero on a 9-month project funded by the Horizon 2020 project.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Food chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields
  • Experience in total and free amino acid analysis, peptide sequencing, HPLC, and Mass spectrometry
  • Familiarity with in vitro biological tests and in vitro digestion of foods
  • Commitment to research, publications, and future scholarly output
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion agenda

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will conduct a specified research program focused on analyzing and chemically characterizing bioactive peptides from various products, determining their biological properties in vitro, and contributing to the wider research and scholarly activities of the team. Responsibilities include research, publication, mentorship, and administrative duties.
