Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in biology, (bio)mathematics, or physics (or equivalent).
- Experience in global change science and/or ecology.
- Proficiency in statistical methods (preferably R).
- Experience and interest in working with large-scale ecological and environmental datasets.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (and preferably German).
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively in teams.
Job Description: The successful candidate will lead a project focusing on understanding the factors behind the discrepancy between the accumulation of alien species in regional species pools and their invasion of local communities. The project will involve developing and parameterizing a computer model to quantify lag times, analyze differences among community types, and make projections for the future progress of alien species accumulation in local communities.
