Inorganic & Materials Chemistry, specifically focusing on colloidal and interfacial materials, nanostructures, and their applications in energy efficiency, including solar cells and cooling applications.

Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field (minimum grade ≥ 2 in Austrian system / GPA ≥ 3.5/4).
- Strong background in materials synthesis, nanomaterials fabrication, or polymer composites.
- Experience in surface functionalization and/or thin-film characterization is an advantage.
- Familiarity with optical spectroscopy or microscopy techniques is beneficial.
- Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English (German appreciated).
- Motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.
Job Description
You will be engaged in research projects and scientific studies, focusing on:
- Design and fabrication of nanomaterials and their incorporation into polymer films.
- Functionalization of film surfaces for anti-soiling and anti-icing properties.
- Characterization of optical and surface properties linked to functional performance.
- Collaboration with consortium partners, particularly in nanoimprint lithography.
- Presentation of research progress in consortium meetings and contributing to reports.
- Dissemination of research findings through publications and conferences.
- Supporting teaching and student supervision within the Department.
- Completing your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
