Eligibility/Qualification:
- A Ph.D. in a relevant field, with degree requirements completed or close to completion by the start date
- Demonstrated research ability through two conference or journal publications, book chapters, or equivalent writing samples
- Research interests that overlap with at least two faculty members in VCAI
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment
Job Description: As a VCAI Postdoctoral Fellow, the selected candidate will:
- Pursue their own research agenda
- Interact with the center’s diverse array of researchers
- Contribute to ongoing research projects
- Work closely with faculty and graduate students in VCAI
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
- Co-mentor students with their faculty mentors
- Have teaching opportunities
- Organize the VCAI seminar series and interact with campus leadership
- Have opportunities to gain experience in grant writing
