Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, IITM Gwalior, MP, India, invites applications for Visvesvaraya Post-Doctoral Fellowship from eligible and interested candidates.

About- Atal Bihari Vajpayee- Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior, an Institute of national importance, established by an act of Parliament under the Ministry of Education, the Government of India invites applications from well-qualified and strongly motivated candidates of Indian nationality for the following faculty positions in the departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Management Studies (MS) and Engineering Sciences (ES) at the Assistant Professor Grade-I (Pay Level 12) and Assistant Professor Grade-II (Pay Level 11).

Preference will be given to applicants with active industry linkages and research proposals addressing industry-specific problems.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must be an Indian national.
• Must hold a PhD from a recognized Institute/University, with first class at all preceding levels from graduation onward and a good academic record.
• Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis may also apply, but selected candidates must produce their PhD award certificate before joining.
• At least one degree from graduation onward, or relevant regular-pay-scale/guest-faculty work experience, should be from a CFTI, preferably IISc/IITs/IIITs/NITs/IIMs/ISI/IISERs, or from a foreign university with QS rank ≤750.
• Maximum age: 40 years at the time of application.
• Applicants must apply within five years of the PhD award/defense date.
• Candidates who completed their PhD from ABV-IIITM Gwalior are not eligible.
• Must have at least two SCI/SSCI/SCIE-indexed journal publications according to the latest JCR.
• Applicants currently in regular employment will not be considered. Temporary scientists/researchers in academia or research institutions may apply, but must relinquish their current position if selected.

The fellowship is offered under the Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme for Electronics and IT: Phase-II – Post Doctoral Fellowship, with opportunities in the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EE), and Information Technology (IT).

The appointment is a temporary, full-time assignment for one year.

The selected Post-Doctoral Fellow will:

• Conduct high-quality independent research under the fellowship.
• Undertake academic responsibilities of up to 8 hours per week, including tutorials, laboratory work, seminars and symposia.
• Assist mentors in preparing externally funded project proposals.
• May co-guide B.Tech./M.Tech. students in BTP/MTP projects with the mentor and necessary approval.
• Submit monthly progress reports.
• Work toward submitting at least one manuscript to an SCI/SSCI/SCIE-indexed Q1 journal during the first year, along with the mentor.
• Acknowledge the Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme in publications and other research outputs produced during the fellowship.

Fellowship Benefits

• Monthly Fellowship: ₹1,08,393
• Contingency Grant: ₹1,00,000 on a pro-rata basis, such as ₹25,000 per quarter.
• The contingency grant can be used for minor equipment, consumables and research-related items.
• The fellow cannot receive another fellowship during the award period.

Applicants must upload relevant supporting documents and certificates with the online application. Self-attested copies of relevant documents will need to be produced for verification during the interview. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
