2024 Summer Intern – Prescient Design: Genentech’s Prescient Design is inviting applications for the 2024 Summer Internship in Computational Sciences (gCS). The internship is focused on dynamical modeling and its applications in drug discovery using machine learning. Exceptional graduate students with a strong research background in machine learning and a passion for independent research are encouraged to apply.

Location: South San Francisco, CA (On-site)
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Must be pursuing a Ph.D. (enrolled student)
- Majors: Physics, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or a similar quantitative discipline
- Strong publication record and experience contributing to research communities
- Strong software development skills in Python
- Research experience in physics-informed machine learning, stochastic processes, or neural ODEs/SDEs/PDEs
Job Description: Interns will:
- Participate in cutting-edge research in dynamical modeling for drug discovery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across gRED on impactful projects
- Develop well-documented code to facilitate the adoption of methods
- Present research results in the form of a publication for submission to internal and external conferences
