Study Area: The PhD position focuses on Contemporary History, specifically the history of the University of Luxembourg. Delve into the socio-economic transition of Luxembourg since the 1970s and its impact on the creation and development of the university.
Scholarship Description: The successful candidate will undertake a PhD thesis on the historical emergence and development of the University of Luxembourg within the C²DH research project “25 years of UL.” Key responsibilities include conducting oral-history interviews, contributing to the construction of a multimedia digital repository, and exploring the university’s growth and strategic orientation.
Eligibility:
- M.A. in Contemporary History, History of Sciences, or Socio-economic Studies with a focus on the History of socio-economic transition since the 1970s.
- Participation in collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects.
- Active knowledge of French, English, and German. Notions of Luxembourgish constitute a real advantage.
