PhD Studentship: Organic Chemistry: Applications are invited for two 3.5-year PhD studentships, supervised by Dr. Pawel Dydio, in the field of synthetic organic chemistry and catalysis. The projects aim to develop new multicatalytic systems and discover valuable catalytic transformations. Highly motivated individuals with a background in organic chemistry and transition metal catalysis are encouraged to apply.

Study Area: Synthetic Organic Chemistry
Scholarship Description: The PhD studentships, commencing in October 2024, will focus on developing multicatalytic systems and discovering new catalytic transformations. The projects aim to embed cooperative reactions into artificial metabolic-like networks and address limitations of key catalytic processes by elucidating mechanistic features.
Eligibility: Applicants must have (or expect to obtain) at least the equivalent of a UK upper second-class Masters degree in a relevant subject such as chemistry. A strong background in organic chemistry and transition metal catalysis is desirable. Practical experience in synthetic organic chemistry, homogenous transition metal catalysis, or organometallic chemistry in a research environment is beneficial.
