Postdoctoral Collegiate Fellows Program: The College of Pharmacy invites applications for the Postdoctoral Collegiate Fellows Program (PCFP). This program aims to increase representation of future faculty in STEM, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community. Recent PhD and PharmD graduates are encouraged to apply, dedicating their time to independent research, pedagogical, and professional development activities.

Designation: Postdoctoral Collegiate Fellow

Research Area: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

Location: College of Pharmacy, [Specify Campus]

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Must have received a PhD or PharmD degree from an accredited university before the fellowship start.
  • Preference given to applicants outside of UofM.
  • Candidates should indicate the preferred faculty department: Clinical Pharmacy, Medicinal Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Job Description: Postdoctoral Collegiate Fellows are expected to:

  • Be in residence and actively participate in academic life.
  • Regularly meet with a faculty mentor.
  • Discuss and identify short/long-term goals for their working arrangement.
  • Develop an Individualized Development Plan (IDP) with their mentor.
  • Attend pedagogical and professional development programs.

How to Apply: Interested candidates must submit the following documents by the application deadline:

  1. Application letter/personal statement (1-3 pages) specifying the requested fellowship start date and preferred faculty mentor.
  2. Curriculum vitae.
  3. Research proposal (2-3 pages) outlining scholarly work and research plan for the fellowship period.
  4. Personal statement (1-3 pages) outlining commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia.
  5. Teaching statement (1-3 pages) describing teaching philosophy.
  6. Dissertation abstract (PhD) or research program proposal (PharmD) of 1 page max.
  7. Writing sample (1-2 samples; 35 pages maximum).
  8. Three letters of reference (to be submitted within two weeks of application).

Last Date for Apply: 31 March 2024

Program Dates: Fellowship notifications will be sent out in early May 2024.

Note: The application deadline for the 2024-2025 academic year is March 31st.
