Funded PhD Positions – AISSR: The Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR) invites applications for five fully funded (salaried) PhD positions. This unique opportunity allows prospective candidates to pursue individual research projects across various social science disciplines. The goal is to assemble a diverse cohort with a broad range of epistemologies, disciplines, and backgrounds. Successful applicants will join AISSR’s PhD program and work on groundbreaking research projects under the guidance of AISSR faculty members.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in the social sciences by September 1st, 2024.

Job Description:
- Conduct individual research projects under the supervision of AISSR faculty members.
- Propose research plans with the potential for groundbreaking insights.
- Align proposals with existing research and expertise within AISSR to promote synergy.
- Foster diversity in profiles, expertise, perspectives, and backgrounds within the social sciences.

What can we offer you?
- Temporary employment contract for 38 hours per week, maximum term of four years.

- Salary: €2,770 gross per month in the first year, increasing to €3,539 in the final year.
