Job Description: The successful candidate will work on understanding the social behavior and social immunity in the clonal raider ant. The project will focus on elucidating the origins and function of the postpharyngeal gland, a key organ in nestmate discrimination and the target of parasitic nematodes. The project will utilize diverse approaches including comparative, behavioral, and chemical analyses, metabolomics, and transcriptomics.
