Post-doctoral Position in Plant Biology, IRIG, Grenoble, France

PhD Open Position in Organic Chemistry, CNRS, France

Post-doctoral Position in Plant Biology: A 2-year post-doctoral position is available at the Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG), France, to work on an integrative developmental and molecular biology project in the Chromatin Dynamics and Developmental Transitions team led by Christel Carles.
Designation: Post-doctoral Researcher
Research Area: Plant Chromatin Biology
Location: Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG), Grenoble, France
Eligibility/Qualification: Highly motivated candidates with experience in molecular biology, developmental genetics, functional epigenetics, or chromatin biology are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in plant biology is a plus but not mandatory. Effective oral and written communication skills in English are required.
Job Description: The successful candidate will conduct research focusing on the modulation of Polycomb PRC2-mediated chromatin repression in plants. This will involve developing molecular and genetic approaches, as well as conducting epigenomics/epigenetics and interactomics analyses. The post-doc will work within an international team at IRIG and collaborate closely with partners at the Institute of Structural Biology (IBS).
How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and CV through the dedicated CNRS website using the following link: Apply Here. For any inquiries regarding the position or application process, contact Christel Carles at christel.carles@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr.
Last Date for Apply: Applications must be submitted by May 31, 2024.
Additional Information: The hosting team at IRIG combines expertise in developmental genetics, molecular epigenetics, and chromatin biology, offering a rich research environment with access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Grenoble, situated amidst the Alps, provides ample opportunities for cultural, sportive, and outdoor activities, making it an attractive location for research and leisure.
Starting Date: September 2024
