Postdoctoral Researcher: Microbial Outcome: Join the Radboud Institute for Biological and Environmental Sciences (RIBES) in an exciting project at the intersection of analytical biochemistry, microbiology, and clinical practice. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in bioanalytical chemistry or related field
  • Experience with or keen interest in learning untargeted metabolomics
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary team

Job Description:

  • Develop and validate quantitative LC-MS methods for microbial metabolites, particularly SCFAs
  • Analyze plasma samples from non-small cell lung cancer patients to validate predictive value of SCFAs
  • Utilize untargeted metabolomics to discover new predictive microbial metabolites
  • Communicate findings at interdisciplinary meetings and in scientific journals
