Eligibility/Qualification:
- Hold, or about to gain, a PhD in Quantitative Genetics, Animal Breeding, Bioinformatics, or related subject
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in genomic prediction and Genome Wide Association Studies
- Experience in estimation of genetic parameters for quantitative traits, including use of genomic data
- Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborative scientific projects
Job Description:
You will be part of the Centre for Tropical Livestock Genetics and Health (CTLGH) project, collaborating with the University of Edinburgh, Scotland’s Rural College, and the International Livestock Research Institute. Based at the Roslin Institute, you will work in Dr. Kellie Watson’s group, focusing on enhancing the resilience of native chickens in African village settings. Responsibilities include conducting research, collaborating with international partners, and contributing to publications.
