Biogeochemical Modelling Researcher: Join us in analyzing the processes and drivers of changes in soil chemical fertility in forest ecosystems of metropolitan France. This 20-month fixed-term contract offers an opportunity to work with the Renecofor network, contributing to the sustainable management of forests through research and modelling.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in soil sciences, biogeochemistry, or geochemistry
  • Skills in biogeochemical cycles, statistical analysis, and report writing
  • Experience in forest ecosystems is advantageous
  • Proficiency in scientific paper writing

Job Description:

  • Analyze biogeochemical fluxes and carry out calculations
  • Model nutrient pools and fluxes in forest ecosystems
  • Identify driving processes of soil fertility changes
  • Collaborate with the Renecofor network and utilize the NutsFor model
